A Shoot Just For Herself
Novita was referred to me by another one of my amazing clients. From our first conversation, I could tell that I was going to enjoy working with her. She has such a positive, glowing personality and I got the sense that she has a very big heart and loves life. Novita is from Durham, NC (the Bull-City) and now resides in Petersburg, Virginia. She adores her kids and she's an avid supporter of LITERACY foundations.
I send a little survey to each of my clients after a shoot so I they can express themselves in their own words. Here are Novita's responses.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION:
Q. How are you using the photos from our session?
A. Sharing with my children. I allowed them to select their favorite to have in their home. The others are for me to view and admire just how beautiful I AM. I’ve also used them digitally for cover letters and post for professional platforms.
Q. What kind of feedback have you gotten since updating your photos?
A. Amazing, Beautiful, who did your pics, who did you make up, where is she located?
Q. Why is having professional photography important to you?
A. The overall experience was important for me. I have never done a professional photo shoot since grade school. I realized that it was wanted and needed.
Q. What problem did having professional images solve?
A. All the images were beautiful! My problem was that I couldn’t afford all of them.

let's talk about the crown
Novita has mastered the art of creating a beautiful headwrap to accompany any outfit. I love when clients customize their shoots with something that is unique and special to them. She had a selection of gorgeous wraps and I loved watching the way she created beautiful adornments with them. She saw my interest and was kind enough to show me how to wrap my hair. It was so cute! I tried to record each step so I could do it on my own, but I have already forgotten how to do it. She's going to have to come back and show me again soon!
I'm so happy to have met and worked with Novita. I wanted her to see that the beauty that she has on the inside is also reflected on the outside. I only wish she lived closer I can be in her presence more often!
