My wife and I set out for a nice dinner and an evening of romance to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary. We also decided to schedule a photo session with LaKaye just to make the night a bit more special. We arrived at the photo site and my wife met with LaKaye and her makeup artist to get her makeup done. About 30 min went by and I became a little curious as to why it was taking so long. To my surprise, they weren’t just doing makeup; my wife was posing for a Boudoir photo shoot. We finished up our anniversary photo session with LaKaye on Charles Street, in front of the Walters Art Gallery–an excellent landmark that LaKaye had chosen.
Before the shoot she told us to simply relax and be ourselves…to sort of carry on a light conversation with one another. We did just that and the pictures came out better than we could’ve ever imagined. She was extremely creative and professional. During the time we spent with LaKaye she used different angles and extra lighting to capture the perfect shot. She paid special attention to details and made us feel very comfortable throughout the photo session. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with our pictures and LaKaye’s professionalism. I have to say that LaKaye is definitely a true artist.
Oh…and as for that Boudoir photo session–let’s just say, the 30 minutes was well worth the wait. Thanx LaKaye!

I’ve heard hundreds of stories of photography horror stories: poor quality or run-of-the-mill images, lack of professionalism or timeliness of receiving the photos. In fact, I’ve experienced a few of them myself, before working with LaKaye.
With the advent of digital (i.e. more affordable) photography the market has become flooded with untrained, untalented and inexperienced photographer impostures. They look like “real” photographers with their professional cameras and at times behave like “real” photographers. They haphazardly look through their viewfinders, snap away at their shutters and then they rely on their photo editing software to produce a mediocre photo that, in most cases, makes you grin with satisfaction instead of smile with excitement.
Talk about excitement–I scheduled my maternity photo shoot with LaKaye and later had her come to our home to photograph our little’s newborn pictures. To say I am pleased is an understatement! I will cherish our photographs for the rest of my life and trust my life’s most precious moments to LaKaye. I had been wanting a family picture and updated pictures of my kids for some time; however, with four kids, it makes it very difficult to get good shots (wandering eyes, crying, etc.)….I didn’t want to hit JC Penney or Sears again…I wanted something “out of the box”; pictures that captured the personalities of my children; especially my 3 year old, who I had not been able to successfully photgraph since he was a year old…..LaKaye’s photography is amazing! She has a patience with children that allowed her to get shots of my children that I know no regular photo studio could capture. Her eye for detail draws you into her photos….She really went above and beyond to make sure our photo shoot was a great experience….I have never had a photographer get so involved for just the right shot…..She is extremely personable and professional. LaKaye is truly an artist….I have referred several friends to LaKaye already. Everyone who has seen our pictures agree that her work is truly awesome!

Talented photographers know how to immediately put their clients at ease, while still being professional and LaKaye definitely falls into this category.
